Finally Photos!!
So I'm trying to catch up so I can start fresh tomorrow. But, here's the Flickr Stream from two of the first days of Cross Country Carter ... which are New York City and Washington DC!
For New York City, I had an amazing time and couldn't believe all I got to see in one day. The funny thing is, it wasn't even close to everything I'd like to experience there. I will be going back for the final day of the trip to catch a bunch of the rest of the sites! But, here's what I hit on day one!!
If you're wondering, the highlight was the Empire State Building. From up there you can see sooooo much ... and in addition feel really damn tiny. Lowlight was my lunch at the famous Carnegie Deli. Yea, it was a huge sandwich, which I expected. What wasn't good was ... well the sandwich. I get better meats at Publix. So, at least I got to do it!
And, here's Washington DC. I LOVE this city and would LOVE to go back and spend some serious time there. I plan on going back in the Spring so I can take a run around the basin, and see all the monuments while seeing the Cherryblossom trees. It's about 6 miles all the way around so I'll try to extend it to 10 and get all the way to the White house. But, here's the DC Sites:
Thanks so much for checking it ut! Hopefully you like the pics, and I promise expect many more posts in the next few days. Going to write about my plans for tomorrw at the airport. Going to Baltimore at 6am (which means I wake up at 3:30 and drive from Cape Cod to Boston at 4am. Ouch.
At that ... good night.
